It can be hard to start from zero, and sometimes to talk about your own practice and yourself, even though you might be able to talk for hours about what you do! Thats totally normal. We as practitioners are here to help people, and sometimes the focus moves away from ourselves!

However, its really important to establish your origin story (like a superhero) and set the context for who you are, what you do, and why you do what you do. It's a way for people to get to know who you are before they commit paying you money (for people that don't already know who you are and aren't familiar with your practice and story). Below are just a few ways to get started on how you can think about creating your videos or courses.

Your Story

For some people, this will be the first time they "meet" you. For others, this may be a welcome re-introduction. So, establishing who you are, your story, and your unique journey as a practitioner may be the most important thing we capture together. This is your chance to connect, to inspire, and to introduce yourself as our trusty guide before we embark on a journey in the next videos (and beyond). Some questions you may want to answer:

  • Who are you?
  • How did you fall in love with your craft?
  • How has it transformed you? Helped you become who you are? Or nurtured you through a difficult time?
  • What are you excited to share?
  • What do you think people can learn from your practice?
